How our spider Halloween cupcakes turned out
The little girl is bothering me to bake some cupcakes. We bought all the ingredients couple weeks ago. I told her that we will bake the cupcakes when it is Halloween or close to that day. She will not take no for an answer. I finally gave up after watching our football team (Buffalo Bills) who got beat up by the New Orléans Saints. We did bake the cupcakes together.
I turn on the oven. She helps me mix all the ingredients. We thought that we have an orange food coloring to mix with the frosting. It is red and when you mix white frosting (we have the vanilla) and it turned out to be pink color. What the heck, obviously we both love pink. We need black gum drops but since black gum drops are nowhere to find in the grocery store, we end using different colors.
We have to make spider designs too. Instead of spiders, it looks like our cupcakes look like moon. Some of them look spiders but mostly look like the sun. We then transfer the cake mix to the muffin cups. We bake 12 cupcakes first. The little girl told me that it does not matter if the cupcakes did not look like spiders but most of all she had the fun. We sure did have a blast together. She is my partner in the kitchen especially baking cupcakes. We bake the rest of the cupcakes. This time we did not design it.
We just use the frosting.
She likes to lick the frosting as well. She then told me that her stuff toy Lambie (the Lamb) will be happy on her birthday.
What? The cupcakes are for Lambie. She is one silly girl of mine. I love her to pieces.
